Doula UK mentoring for new doulas

I am a Doula UK recognised mentor. I walk alongside newly trained doulas through the mentoring and recognition process: debriefing each piece of work, reflecting together, and helping you build confidence in your own practice.

Doula UK mentoring for new doulas

How mentoring works

When you join Doula UK you begin as a mentored doula and choose your mentor from the members’ area. Almost all of our work happens by telephone or video call, so where you live matters far less than whether we are a good fit. Doula UK suggests approaching two or three mentors before you decide.

Once we agree to work together, I activate your Find a Doula page as a mentored doula and add you to the members’ group. From then on we debrief after each birth or postnatal booking: what happened, what you did, what you noticed in yourself, and what you might do differently. When you are ready, a final interview completes your recognition.
