Childbirth is a process of transitioning into the motherhood. Transformation from not-a-mum into a Mum (or a mother of two, three…)
This transition is not simple. It consists of a full spectrum of emotions, feelings and worries - from joy and gratitude to resentment or guilt. All these emotions require thorough work, to avoid getting caught up in them and live on. The wrapping of the body is the final step in the transition.
I understand, what you’re feeling. You have to take care of a new person, and all your attention is directed at it. However I would like to support you in this transition.
I’ve come to tell you that your feelings matter. And I want to help you deal with them.
During the bone closing ceremony we will identify which feelings you went through together and in what ways the labour has affected you.

Afterbirth support includes help with small, everyday things which are not as easy to do after you’ve just become a parent of a new person
1 out of 8 women suffer from postnatal depression because of
a lack of support or information
having depression previously
breastfeeding problems
wrong expectations from motherhood (which 80% of women have)
